What is Deductidle?
Deductidle is a free daily deduction game with three stages. Each begins with examples that fit a secret rule and examples that do not. Add your own experiments to the evidence, then classify three new examples to check your theory. The stages draw from words, numbers, shapes, emoji and cards; no account is required to play.
How to play
- Compare the supplied Fits and Doesn't fit examples and form a rule that could explain both groups.
- Open Test, choose or enter a new example, and submit it. Read which group it joins before refining your idea.
- Select I've got it when ready. Sort each of the three new examples into Fits or Doesn't fit, then choose Check answers.
- Use the item-by-item feedback to revise a failed check. Get all three correct to solve the stage and unlock the next one.
Is testing an example the same as submitting a solution?
No. A test tells you whether one example fits and adds it to your evidence. I've got it opens a separate three-example classification check. Tests are unlimited and do not add strikes.
What happens if my classification check is wrong?
A submitted check counts as a try. A failed check adds one strike and shows which classifications were correct, including the correct group for a mistaken item. All three must be correct to solve the stage. The official rules set no strike limit.
Do hints cost a strike, and can I return later?
Hints do not add strikes, but revealing a rule does. Guest play keeps daily examples, check feedback and strikes in your browser. You do not need an account to keep playing in that browser.
