What is Wirespan?
Wirespan is a daily network puzzle on a nine-by-nine terrain grid. A power plant and three houses are already placed; you add towers on open ground to join them. Nearby nodes connect automatically, and powered houses light up as the network reaches them. Once all houses have power, the challenge becomes finding a shorter wiring layout for a better MW reading.
How to play
- Open Today and locate the power plant, three houses and blocked terrain.
- Click or tap open ground to build a tower; nearby nodes within two squares wire together automatically.
- Extend the powered network toward every house, watching the tower count and lit-house feedback.
- Tap an existing tower to remove it and rearrange the layout. After all houses are lit, shorten the total wire to improve output.
Can wires cross blocked terrain?
Yes. Towers must stand on open ground, but wires can cross rivers and ridges. You place the towers rather than drawing individual wires: nodes within the game's two-square reach connect automatically.
Why keep playing after every house lights up?
The goal is not just connectivity. The official rules say shorter total wire delivers more MW, and you can keep rearranging a working network to improve it. Watch the output reading rather than assuming that adding more towers is always better.
Will an unfinished layout survive a reload?
No. Reloading an unfinished daily grid removes the placed towers and returns the houses to an unpowered state. Keep the page open while you are working on a layout.
