What is Scraps?

Scraps is a free daily word game built around consumable letters. Fill the empty positions in a four-letter pattern using the available tiles, then submit a valid word. Accepted words add to your score and advance to another pattern; every player gets the same tiles and patterns that day.

How to play

  1. Read the fixed letters in the current four-letter pattern and inspect your remaining tile counts.
  2. Select available letters to fill the empty positions from left to right.
  3. Use Clear if you want to change the unsubmitted letters; those tiles return to the inventory.
  4. Select Submit to test the word. An accepted word appears in the word log and adds one to the score.
  5. Continue with the next pattern, choosing words that preserve useful letters for later.

Does Clear spend your letters?

Clear returns the letters selected for the unsubmitted word to the tile supply. It does not erase an already accepted word. Check the fixed pattern before spending a scarce letter on another attempt.

What counts as a point?

A submitted valid four-letter word adds one to the score, appears in the word log and advances the pattern. Simply selecting letters does not earn a point.

What happens if you reload?

Accepted words and the score stay visible. The remaining tile total can change after reloading, so check the displayed supply before continuing.
