What is Murdle?

Murdle by G. T. Karber presents a dated mystery with suspects, weapons, locations and a set of clues. Investigate the cards and organize the relationships in a logic grid before choosing who committed the murder, how and where. The daily puzzle is playable free on the official site.

How to play

  1. Read today's case and inspect the suspect, weapon and location cards for relevant details.
  2. Read each clue carefully and identify relationships that must be true or impossible.
  3. Use the deduction grid to record your conclusions and eliminate incompatible pairings.
  4. Combine the remaining relationships with the murder clue to identify the culprit, weapon and location.
  5. Select your conclusions in the Who, How and Where answer controls.

The cards are evidence, not just characters

Suspect, weapon and location cards provide details to read alongside the case clues. You are looking for relationships that must hold and pairings that cannot fit, not simply choosing the most suspicious character. The mystery gives those logical connections a concrete question to answer.

From grid relationships to Who, How and Where

The deduction grid is where you record conclusions and eliminate incompatible pairings. Those relationships need to be combined with the murder clue before you select the culprit, weapon and location. Filling the grid and answering the case are connected steps: the final controls ask you to turn the deductions into a specific accusation.
