What is Centroid?
Centroid is a daily visual estimation game about finding the center of mass of a group of shapes. Its three rounds progress from Easy to Medium and Hard. You choose a point rather than type a number, and accuracy determines a score out of ten for each round, with thirty available overall.
How to play
- Open the dated daily puzzle and inspect the shapes in the first round.
- Judge where the combined shapes would balance, rather than aiming for the center of the surrounding canvas.
- Click your chosen point on desktop. On a phone, tap to position your guess and use Confirm Guess to submit it.
- Compare your point with the revealed center and the distance between them; the rules allow one guess per round.
What point are you trying to find?
You are estimating the shapes’ center of mass, not the midpoint of the large square playing area. Consider the whole arrangement before choosing a point; the canvas includes empty space that is not part of the shape.
Can you adjust a guess after submitting?
The rules allow only one guess per round. Mobile play separates placing the point from confirming it, so check its position before tapping Confirm Guess. On desktop, clicking the canvas submits the point.
What does the line after a guess show?
The feedback joins your guess to the revealed center and labels the distance in pixels. It shows how far your estimate missed; the official scoring rules award up to ten points per round based on accuracy.
