What is Chainle?

Chainle scores how closely your chosen word connects to its clues in meaning. A daily game includes three two-word bridges, one three-word bridge and one closest-connection round. There is no single required answer: a stronger semantic connection earns more of the round’s 1,000 available points.

How to play

  1. Open Play today’s game and read the round type and clue words.
  2. For a bridge, think of one word that connects to every clue; for closest connection, think of a nearby meaning.
  3. Enter your word and select Link to submit the round’s only guess.
  4. Review how the chains and score reflect your connection, then continue through all five rounds.

Is there one correct answer?

No. Chainle evaluates closeness in meaning rather than requiring one exact solution. Matching the strongest link the game knows earns the full 1,000 for a round, but other words can earn points. Your choice needs to connect to every clue, not just one.

How many chances do I have in each round?

You get one guess per round, across five rounds worth up to 5,000 points. Three rounds ask for a two-word bridge, one adds a third clue and one asks for the closest connection to a single word. Check the round type before submitting; a word that fits only one bridge clue scores very little.
