What is Squardle?
Squardle is a daily word-deduction game from Fubar Games. A five-by-five grid hides six interlocking words, and each guess goes into both a row and a column. Its hints tell you more than whether a letter is present: arrows and colors distinguish the right row, the right column and letters elsewhere on the board. Start with ten guesses and earn up to five more by solving words; completing the sixth word wins the game.
How to play
- Choose Daily Squardle from the official menu after reading the hint guide.
- Enter a five-letter word and press Enter; it is evaluated in the active row and column.
- Read each colored hint and its arrows, keeping confirmed green squares as anchors.
- Follow the automatically cycling rows and columns and use later guesses to solve all six words before your guesses run out.
What do the hint colors and arrows mean?
Green marks the correct square and stays solved. Yellow points to the same row, red to the same column, and orange to both, but not the guessed square. White means the letter appears elsewhere on the board; black means it does not appear at all. Arrow pairs also convey repeated-letter information, so read them alongside the color.
Can you choose the row for your next guess?
No. The game cycles through its rows and columns automatically. One word is evaluated in both directions, so check the active lines before choosing what to enter. Clicking a square and typing a letter can also leave a blue-circle note for a later guess.
How many guesses do you get?
You start with ten. Solving words can earn up to five bonus guesses, while solving the sixth and final word completes the board. The standard daily puzzle is therefore not limited to Wordle’s six attempts.
