What is Midi Crossword?
Greatest Games' Midi Crossword sits between a tiny mini and a full-sized crossword. Fill intersecting Across and Down answers on a grid that grows through the week, with Check and Reveal tools available when you get stuck. Today's puzzle is free and does not require an account.
How to play
- Select a square or clue and read the highlighted Across or Down entry.
- Type your answer, using crossing letters to help solve neighboring clues.
- Tap the selected square again or press Space to switch between Across and Down.
- Use arrow keys to move within an entry and Tab to advance to another word.
- Complete the correct grid; use the Check menu if you need help locating mistakes or revealing an entry.
Across and Down help each other
An answer you enter supplies crossing letters for neighboring clues, so the entries are connected rather than separate questions. Switch between Across and Down by tapping the selected square again or pressing Space. A crossing gives you another way to consider a clue when its wording alone does not bring an answer to mind.
The grid grows toward Sunday
Monday through Thursday use a 7×7 grid, Friday and Saturday expand to 8×8, and Sunday reaches 9×9. The weekly change is in grid size; it does not by itself promise how difficult a particular clue will be. Check and Reveal tools are available when you need help with mistakes or an entry.
