What is Poople?
Poople is a daily English word-ladder game by Elias Furst. The destination is always POOP; the challenge is choosing a sequence of valid four-letter words from the starting word. It is playable in your browser without an account. The result compares your number of guesses with the shortest solution, rather than asking you to discover a hidden target.
How to play
- Read How to play, then select Click here to play! to open the daily ladder.
- Enter a four-letter word using your keyboard or the on-screen letter keys, then press Enter.
- Change exactly one letter from the previous accepted word. Use Backspace or the on-screen delete key to edit before submitting.
- If the game rejects a word, check its word-list feedback or the one-letter rule before trying another candidate.
- Continue until you reach POOP, then compare your guess count with the best solution and use Copy results if you want to share.
Why was my word rejected?
Poople checks both its word list and the change from your previous accepted word. The messages Not in word list and Not one letter different identify different problems. Use four letters, change only one position, and try a different candidate if your word is not accepted.
Is the goal to guess a secret word?
No. POOP is the fixed destination. Each accepted word must differ by one letter from the word immediately before it. Plan intermediate words instead of treating each entry as an independent guess at a hidden answer.
What does the best solution tell you?
After reaching POOP, the result shows how many guesses you used and how many the best solution needed. The statistics track extra guesses, so a successful ladder can still be longer than necessary. Yesterday's answer shows one shortest route for the previous puzzle, not an instruction to follow for today.
