What is Feetle?

Feetle gives everyone a daily starting word and the same destination: FEET. Build a ladder of real four-letter words, changing exactly one letter between neighbouring rows. The daily board suggests a word-count target, so finding a route is only part of the challenge: you can also try to keep it short. Feetle openly credits Poople as its inspiration.

How to play

  1. Read the four-letter starting word at the top of the daily board.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a real word that differs from the previous word by exactly one letter.
  3. Press Enter to add the accepted word as the next row in your ladder.
  4. Continue changing one letter per word until the ladder reaches FEET.

How do you enter the next word?

Type the whole four-letter word with the on-screen keyboard, then press Enter. An accepted word becomes a separate row; the empty row beneath it is for your next step.

Does the starting word stay the same?

No. Feetle chooses a new starting word daily, while the destination remains FEET. The numbered daily board also displays a suggested word-count target and a countdown to the next puzzle.

Can you return to an unfinished ladder?

Yes, in the same browser. Reloading during our desktop and phone tests retained the accepted word and continued the unfinished ladder. The privacy policy says guesses, stats and streaks live in local storage; clearing browser data removes them.
