What is Shinro Garden?
Shinro Garden is a daily spatial deduction puzzle. Twelve flowers are hidden among the squares of an eight-by-eight garden. Each arrow points along a line containing a flower, while the numbers outside the grid tell you how many flowers belong in each row and column. Mark safe squares as soil and plant where the clues agree. The board checks each decision immediately, so an incorrect placement ends the attempt rather than leaving an editable guess.
How to play
- Read the row and column totals and trace each arrow along its direction. A zero total rules out flowers in that entire row or column.
- Choose Soil to mark a square that cannot contain a flower, or choose Plant to place a flower. Click on desktop or tap the square on a touchscreen.
- Combine the arrow paths with the remaining row and column spaces. When only one eligible square remains along an arrow, use the counts to check the placement before planting.
- Find all twelve flowers to complete the garden. Take care with soil markings too: burying a flower ends the attempt.
Does an arrow mean the next square is a flower?
No. Follow the direction along the grid rather than treating it as an adjacent-square instruction. Combine that path with the row and column totals to narrow the possible flower positions. A zero row or column is a useful starting point because none of its squares can contain a flower.
Can you undo a wrong flower or soil mark?
Treat each mark as a commitment. Planting on an empty square ends the attempt with “nothing grows there,” while marking a hidden flower as soil ends it with “you buried a flower.” Finding all twelve flowers completes the garden; you do not need to mark every remaining square as soil.
Will a refresh keep an unfinished garden?
An unfinished garden starts over after a page refresh: its planted flowers return to the tray and its marked squares clear. Completed daily results are stored separately on the device. That result storage is not an unfinished-game save or a promise of cross-device synchronization.
