What is GEOPOCH?
GEOPOCH pairs historical knowledge with a map and a timeline. Each question describes an event, building or work, and asks for both its location and its year. Extra clues can narrow the possibilities at a point cost. Distance, date and the running clock all affect the result, so recognizing the subject is only part of the task.
How to play
- Open the daily round and read the first historical clue. Classic covers older history; New Era focuses on 2000–2025.
- Rotate the globe and tap the location you want to mark. Choose a year on the timeline, then use the small year-adjustment buttons to refine it.
- Reveal another clue if needed, noting its 15% point cost. Lock in your guess before the daily question timer expires.
- Compare the place and year feedback with your choices, read the explanation and continue to the next question.
How do extra clues affect points?
The second and third clues each reduce the score factor by 15 percentage points: from 1.00 to 0.85, then 0.70. They can make an uncertain subject easier to identify, but they are not free hints. The daily clock continues while you think, including in the menu.
Can you resume an unfinished daily round?
A daily round in progress is stored in the browser. Reopening the daily round after refresh can return you to the next question. Continue in the same browser; this is not cross-device synchronization.
