What is Mathler?
Mathler gives you the result before you start. In Normal mode, fill six spaces with digits and arithmetic operators to uncover the hidden calculation, using positional color clues after each valid guess.
How to play
- Read the target number and build a six-character expression using digits and +, -, * or /.
- Press Enter to submit an expression that equals the target; multiplication and division take precedence.
- Keep green characters in place, reposition yellow ones, and use the feedback to find the calculation within six guesses.
Why is a calculation rejected?
A guess must fill the six spaces and evaluate to the displayed target. Work out multiplication and division before addition and subtraction; a plausible-looking expression with the wrong total is not valid.
What do the tile colors mean?
Green marks the correct character and position. Yellow means the character belongs elsewhere in the calculation. Gray marks an unmatched character; digits and operators can repeat, so read duplicate occurrences separately.
How does Mathler differ from Nerdle?
Mathler supplies the target total and asks only for the expression that makes it. Nerdle instead asks for a complete equation including its result. Normal Mathler uses six spaces and allows six guesses.
