What is Hop Haul?
Hop Haul is a daily geography puzzle about building the best connected caravan of countries. Each round gives you a starting country, a budget of seven to twelve border hops and closed countries you cannot enter. The active tab sets what you collect, and whether you need the most or the fewest. Your finished chain is compared with the optimum under that day’s constraints.
How to play
- Read the active category, MOST or FEWEST direction, starting country and closed-country list.
- Tap a country bordering your existing caravan to extend it. The caravan can grow from any country it already touches.
- Spend every hop, using Undo to revise the chain or double-tapping a country to remove it.
- Press Confirm once the hop budget is spent. Reach 90% of the optimum to solve the leg.
Does the caravan have to follow one continuous path?
No. The official rules allow it to grow anywhere it touches, so you can branch from countries already in the caravan rather than only extending its last country. Every added country must still connect, and closed countries are unavailable.
What changes between the category tabs?
The tabs collect people, land, GDP, GDP per person or Olympic medals. Each daily objective also specifies MOST or FEWEST. Read that direction before choosing countries; a high population is not automatically useful in a minimum-target round.
When can you confirm your chain?
Confirm becomes available after you use every hop. The result is measured against the best possible caravan for the same starting country, closures and budget, with a 90% target for solving.
