What is Dungleon?
Dungleon replaces letters with a cast of pixel-art adventurers, creatures and loot. In the Classic daily puzzle, you arrange five icons and have six guesses to find the hidden dungeon composition. The clues are not just positional: the game also invites you to discover rules about which pieces appear together and where they belong.
How to play
- Open the official game and read both introductory panels to learn the feedback colors and the first dungeon rules.
- Choose five icons from the on-screen keyboard in the order you want to test, then select ENTER. Use backspace to correct an entry before submitting.
- Compare the feedback: green means the right piece in the right position, yellow means the piece belongs elsewhere, and red means it is absent.
- Build your next row from the feedback and the dungeon rules. Every dungeon includes at least one hero and one monster; other relationships are left for you to discover.
- Find the five-piece composition within six guesses. Watch for a plus sign, which indicates that a piece appears additional times in the answer.
What do the colors and the plus sign tell you?
The default green feedback confirms both the icon and its position. Yellow confirms an icon but not its current position; red rules it out. A plus sign means that the same icon appears additional times in the hidden composition, so do not assume each piece is used only once.
Is Dungleon just guessing five random icons?
No. Its introduction confirms that every dungeon contains a hero and a monster, some pieces occur with other pieces, and some pieces belong in particular positions. The full set of secret rules is deliberately not listed at the start. Combine what the feedback proves with patterns you notice over repeated games.
Do you have to reuse every green or yellow piece?
The official instructions describe reusing revealed green and yellow pieces as an extra challenge rather than a requirement for ordinary guesses. The Difficulty Crystal rewards that stricter approach. You can begin by learning the basic feedback before choosing to preserve that additional challenge.
