What is CHAINED?
CHAINED is a connection game about real people, places, brands, films and teams. Each chain gives you a START and a GOAL; select connected cards to build a route between them. The daily game has five chains worth 1,000 points in total, with the shortest route earning the best score.
How to play
- Select Play Today and read the START and GOAL for the first chain.
- Inspect the connected cards; use the information icon if you need to identify a person or object.
- Pick a card linked to your current endpoint that appears to lead toward the goal.
- Keep adding links, using Undo if you need to step back, until you reach the goal.
- Read the explanations for the completed route and continue through all five chains.
What does par mean?
Par is the fewest links needed to reach the goal. Matching it earns all of the route’s points before other penalties; extra links reduce that share. A card can have a genuine connection and still be a detour, so consider where it could lead next rather than choosing solely because you recognize the fact.
Can I inspect cards without spending a hint?
Yes. The information icon is free and tells you who or what a card is. Hints and manual Undo affect your score, so use the information panel when identification is the problem. Once the chain is complete, the game provides a short sourced explanation for every link.
