What is Sentencedle?
Sentencedle turns a paraphrase into a word-recovery puzzle. Read The Mutation, then find the original words represented by its underlined phrases. The original sentence shows word lengths and some connecting words. Submit one candidate word at a time: feedback measures meaning rather than checking a grid of letter positions, and exact words fill their slots.
How to play
- Close How to play and read the underlined phrases in The Mutation.
- Use the original sentence’s blanks and letter counts to propose one hidden word.
- Type your word, or use the on-screen keys, and press Enter.
- Read the semantic feedback and revise your next guess, aiming to recover all five words within 25 guesses.
What do the feedback colors mean?
They indicate closeness in meaning, not matching letter positions. The official help groups guesses as exact, top 10, top 50, top 300, top 1,500 or far; greener feedback means a closer semantic candidate. Those ranking bands describe the game’s instructions, not an independently audited language model.
What does a letter hint cost?
Tapping a blank reveals a letter at the cost of one guess. You have 25 guesses for the sentence, so hints use the same limited budget as word attempts.
Do plurals and tenses have to match exactly?
The official rules accept plurals and tenses as exact. They also say words taken directly from the clue do not count. Look for the original idea behind an underlined phrase instead of simply copying its wording.
