What is Gamedle?
Gamedle's Cover Art mode presents a daily video game to identify from its cover. You have six lives, with incorrect guesses offering information about shared franchises, sagas, genres or platforms. The official game is free, and an account is optional.
How to play
- Open Cover Art mode and dismiss the instructions after reading them.
- Inspect the cover image and enter a video game title in the guess field.
- Choose the matching title and select GUESS! to submit it.
- Use the franchise colors and any shared genre or platform clues to refine your next guess.
- Identify the game before your six lives run out.
Cover recognition is the starting point
The cover image gives you a visual route into the puzzle, but recognizing a style is not the same as naming the title. Your guess is a specific game selected from the title field. Familiarity with a franchise can give you a candidate without settling which game the cover belongs to.
A near miss can connect the library
An incorrect title can still reveal a shared franchise, saga, genre or platform. Those connections give you something to consider alongside the cover on your next attempt. With six lives, the puzzle combines visual recognition with knowledge of how games relate to one another.
