What is Wattwise?

Wattwise combines a daily hidden word with short trivia questions. Each correct answer lights a bulb containing a letter; a mistake or timeout breaks one lit bulb and hides its letter again. You can keep gathering clues or commit to your single final word guess. Committing earlier offers a larger Risk Bonus, so extra certainty comes at a price.

How to play

  1. Choose Daily and press Play. Text controls provides an alternative set of answer and game buttons.
  2. Read each trivia question and submit an answer within its 25-second timer. A correct answer reveals a letter.
  3. Skip a question when needed: it gives no letter but avoids the wrong-answer penalty. A wrong answer or timeout removes one lit bulb.
  4. When the letters suggest a word, choose Commit to final guess. You have only one final word attempt.

What happens if you do not know an answer?

Skip uses the question without revealing a letter or applying a wrong-answer penalty. A wrong answer or timeout breaks one lit bulb. Opening directions does not pause the 25-second question timer.

Can you try the final word more than once?

No. Each round allows one final word guess. More trivia can reveal more letters, but using questions reduces the potential Risk Bonus for committing early.

What is the Tricky question?

You can try Tricky once. The official rules award 250 points for a correct answer and a large bulb that reveals one letter plus small slices of its neighbours. Those Tricky points remain even if the final word guess is wrong.
